SENSATIONAL
“DANCING TO BE A STAR”
 IS BACK

As promised by PIDC (Philippine Independence Day Council) President, Jun Enverga and Chair Leonie Manzanares, the Dancing To Be A Star, held glamorously at Macedonian Banquet Hall in Toronto last year will be at Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building, July 19 (Saturday) .  Again it will be dazzlingly chaired by Leonie with her two Coordinators (Pete Mauricio and Imie Belanger) and is expected and aimed to attract more competitors and captivate the audience across GTA.

This year will be more enticing and inviting as there will be three categories for the evening of competition.  Unlike last year of just Intermediate and Advance, it will be categorized this time as Bronze, Silver and Gold competitors.  Dancers should remember that the two dancing bats to handle are Latin (Rumba, Cha-Cha, Jive, Samba, Salsa) which allows the dancers to flirt and have fun and the elegant and traditional passionate Standard dances (Waltz, Fox Trot, Quick Steps & Tango).  And to make yourself looking vibrant and flamboyant, putting on this stunning and astonishing sequined outfit so as to feel being a dancing queen just for that evening tells it all!  The most well like and well known husband and wife team deejay in town, Linda and Pat Yugo of the Momentum Sounds will be in hand to help enhance the elegant ballroom scenario.
On June 27, at Gateway Centre in Mississauga, all competitors from the different categories will be presented.  Rudy Castro will be in to have a photo shot of all the bronze, silver and gold challengers.  This photos will be used to be posted at the hall of MTCC and Souvenir Programme for that evening of dancing amusement.

Agnes Canlas and George Tungol who coveted the Advance category as well as the Intermediate champion, Dr. Christie Gamo and Robert Henson will be there to hand out the revolving trophies to the proclaimed winners this year as well as show off their winning number to everyone.for the last time.  Furthermore, the three panel of judges vote will be counted as 60% and guests participation for 40%.  Part of the proceed goes to Gawad Kalinga, to help build a house for the poorest back home through PIDC.

So for a real wonderful moment, we are once again inviting all ballroom aficionados to get and challenge yourself dancing or just be there to watch and feel and see these countless incredible dances and enjoy dancing all evening with your favourite competitors.  It’s for “f u n” most of all and get compensated for what you have learned and accomplished.  For more infos please call anyone at PIDC or Leonie at 905 567 4829.
